Pictures From Architecture Series (Drawings) Part One

I apologize for the poor quality of the picture. The room that I was taking with my camera in doesn't get alot of lights and forced me to use the camera flash instead. The final pictures of my pieces with much better quality will be post soon.

Based on church in Germany. Here's the link; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wies_Church.

My theme for this piece was "Relationship With The Light." Show how easily that the light can make impression if used correctly.

Rough sketch of the statue, based on picture on the left. Picture was taken on the street corner in Vienna, Austria.

The theme of this piece is "Statue." From my perceptive, and in my humble opinion, I see that the art such as statues or anything really on the exterior of the architecture can be incorporate into the architecture since the architecture itself is actually ART. This piece was my midterm project for my drawing class. So I decided to challenged myself to use the medium that is my weakest, which is watercolor.

Watercolor is actually fun to play with and very useful tool. I think I will continue the usage of watercolor for my architecture series. Final pictures will be posted soon.

    1. Hi Anonymous,

I used a 16 inch straight ruler (the one you see in the picture above) to help with the three point perspective and an 18 inch Plastic T-Square ruler.

      Thanks for your comment!
